Cooking
I love cooking. Not only can it be a healthy choice to cook your own food, it can also be a lot of fun. I like being able to experiment and see what flavors work best.
I'm majoring in Geographic Information Science (GIS) at the Ohio State University. While I still enjoy studying GIS, I’ve recently discovered my strong interest in becoming a front-end web developer. When I'm not studying for exams or writing papers for school I love learning about the technologies used to build web applications – there’s soo many! I was first introduced to web development by a cool newer online community called Free Code Camp, and as the name implies, it’s a free online self-paced code camp for anyone who might be interested. As soon as I started going through the challenges I was hooked. Being able to write HTML, CSS, and JavaScript and then instantly see results in a browser upon saving was so addicting and fun – I couldn’t stop playing with the code and experimenting.

Meditating is something new I've been trying out. From what I've read, it can be a great way to relax from any stresses you may have. I also might be secretly be trying to learn the ways of the force -- you never know!
I spend A LOT of my time in front of my computer, so I always make sure that I'm getting myself to the gym a few times a week.
Cats and dogs are my favorite. Currently I don't have any companions because of my leasing terms, but for now my girlfriend's cat will suffice.
I often find myself staying up late at night reading and watching documentaries about our universe. Anything from theoretical physicist Michio Kaku or astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson is amazing.
I was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to travel to a few countries in Eastern Europe and I had so much fun that I'm going back -- I don't know when, but it's happening.

If you're a visual person like me, here's a color coded skill tree I created on coggle.it :
Please note that the following projects are neither perfect nor 100% complete. I felt that once I've learned what I could, it was time to move on to the next subject or technology to learn. At this point, I'm far too excited to learn more rather than wasting time on making a clone of something when eventually I will be able to use my skills to create something new. :)
Currently I'm going through the courses on frontendmasters.com. I have a github repo of the courses I've taken/currently in progress of taking. I'm quickly learning a lot of new technologies and plan to build more apps using those new skills -- which I will post here.
